"Chouriça" sweet Vinhais IGP is a Portuguese smoked sausage, made from the flesh of pigs Bísaro breed or cross-breed that should be 50% Bísaro (animals produced by breeding purebred pigs Bísaro registered in the studbook with pigs other races), regional bread and olive oil of Tras-os-Montes (these being essential to give the product a specific flavor and texture), pig's blood, honey and walnuts or almonds, stuffed into the small intestine of a cow or pig. It is horseshoe-shaped, about 20-25 cm intestine sticks to the misture and so meat pieces, nuts or almonds are visible there through. Its final weight is approximately 150g.
